Listen up boy, that leavin' train is waiting for you It seems you've got a ways to go so tighten up those shoes When will you look yourself in the mirror? You hear it calling out your name Change it, change it Draw that line and make it straight I say, you gotta find what's closest to your heart Cause there ain't no time, ain't no time to wait More of this and less of that, read between the lines An old man's crying, he wishes he could buy back his time How will you show your sweet sweet lover that another shouldn't take your place? Change it, change it Draw that line and make it straight I say, you gotta find what's closest to your heart Cause there ain't no time, ain't no time to wait Listen up boy, I think it's time you reconcile Behind all the hurting theres a man and he's been there for a while What will you tell your dear old mother? She wonders where you've been so long. Change it, change it Draw that line and make it straight I say, you gotta find what's closest to your heart Cause there ain't no time, ain't no time to wait

Don't ruin a good thing now What you don't know doesn't hurt you Don't find a way to make it blue Don't walk along tonight Just to make friends with the darkness It only will take the light from you I've been given a breath today The night still takes it all away I'm the man of my decay Don't you ruin a good thing Don't shake it all around Isn't this all that you wanted? Ask the heart of yesterday Take your ear off the ground Listen to what's there inside you Verity lives there everyday I've heard cynically said before Follow the shadows that hide the floor But I can't follow it anymore Don't you ruin a good thing Don't do it, don't ruin a good thing Don't you ruin a good thing

I forgot this feeling I have Must have dropped it off along the way Time of mine you're stealing from my hands Now it seems I've lost another day But I do find it strange Why you don't look the same When you're walking back through my door I should know of your face, but it's always replaced I know you, but I don't know you right now I forgot this feeling I have Lost inside the trouble that you are You tend to mislead me from my head All I ask is don't take me too far But I do find it strange Why you don't sound the same When you're talking back through my door I should know of your voice and the words of your choice I know you, but I don't know you right now

Cat's out of the bag All the dogs are looking at you I'm talkin' 'bout the ones in the three piece suits Everybody's looking at you The porch goes up in flames Nobody else to blame Tell me where you got the match, tell me where you got the gas Before these dogs bite your ass You're pretty sly, I can't deny But now you're gonna need an alibi Look away, away from me Cause I ain't got what you wanna be I'm talking' 'bout What you keep deep inside I can't hold 'cause it isn't mine You gotta let got to catch on and watch for what you step on You've fallen down, you can't deny And now you're gonna need an alibi Rat locked up in a cell The dogs go too and they eat real well I ain't talkin' 'bout no 5 course Me I stay in a cheap motel Can't go home 'cause it burned like hell Clean up and sign off, looking like a write off You're hung to dry so say goodbye Wasn't gonna fly Probably should've tried You probably should've cried for an alibi

Stranded on a wave in my mind Planets far away they collide I don't hear a sound And the falling rain turns to snow We began to wane so very long ago Tears freeze to my eyes And all the streets that I once knew They disappear the more I roam I ought to be on my way before I turn to stone Consider this my love letter goodbye Call upon the storm in this reality We begin to mourn in this fatality All those years they die Face toward the wind and decay Waves come crashing in and lovers wash away Parting ways to the sea As I fight this urge to drown In all the ways of what has been I toss a bottle stuffed with these four words within For you to find, my love letter goodbye And for the one that I once knew That disappeared most every night I hope she can find a way to mend what's left inside And lead the tide And leave behind My love letter goodbye Sail on

I've walked for miles and miles Put all my time on trial And I just need some place where I can get myself a little rest I wanna redefine This worn out name of mine Just another thing that I can put to the test And it's 1 2 3, 1 2 3 Who am I gonna be? I guess I'll figure it out someday When I turn old and grey And have more yesterdays Will I have the answer to the things that I've been looking for? Oh dear friend of mine I've gone outside the lines Maybe in the by and by I'll wonder no more And it's 1 2 3, 1 2 3 Who am I gonna be? I guess I'll figure it out someday

It's 4AM and I hear you leave the bed Before I wake, these words come to my head "That's the love that will last you all your life" I open my eyes and to you I start to write Dear love of my life To the one who shaped my heart so right Tied 'til the end so tight There's nothing I wouldn't do Dear love of my life I'll show you all the ways you belong to me 'Cause I just want you to see Eternally The dark morning sky is enough to make me cry I know I'll see you soon, I'm just glad to share it all with you And though this time I have to stay behind The world is ours to see 'til the end of time When I get back to the bed where me lay last night A note that reads "I love you forever" sits beneath the light Written in you're beautiful touch, in the morning dew Written in the same pen that I wrote to you Dear love of my life To the one who shaped my heart so right Tied 'til the end so tight There's nothing I wouldn't do Dear love of my life I'll show you all the ways you belong to me 'Cause I just want you to see Eternally It's 2PM and you're flying over Illinois I lay inside your bed beside your buttoned corduroy Not too long and we'll be right here again The note you left will keep your place 'til then And I hope the words that I scribbled down For you to read while out of town Speak as loud as the love I feel for you And when I get to feel your hands So softly on my face again I don't think there are words that will do Dear love of my life To the one who shaped my heart so right Tied 'til the end so tight There's nothing I wouldn't do Dear love of my life I'll show you all the ways you belong to me 'Cause I just want you to see Eternally

about

Connor Fox's first record, a homemade album written and recorded in the various "Music Rooms" he has had at his homes over the years. This album is compiled with song ideas dating as far back as when he was 6 years old with the track "Loose Tooth", to more recent compositions such as "Love Letter Goodbye", and everything in between on his songwriting journey this far. The record features 7 lyrical songs, 2 instrumentals, and an interlude of sorts, and are all a look into the voyage of experimenting with a wide variety of styles and sound which Connor is still doing. Consider this a "genre-less" album.
